The First Annual
Windermere Lakes Fishing Tournament a BIG success... and that's no fish story. There was a great turn out for the first resident "catch and release" tournament. The event was a fun way to spend the day meeting and competing with our neighbors for a good cause. Proceeds from the event went to restocking the lakes. Total Funds raised were $2,0003.23 which have gone to restocking the lakes with Bass and Forage fish. Thanks to all the residents who fished and all the residents that couldn't participate but donated money anyway. Click here for the Winners List! A special thanks to the committee which worked very hard to make this event possible and continues to do a great job for our neighborhood lakes. Be on the look out for the Windermere Lakes Fishing League. It will be a weekend day, Adult and Junior divisions. The idea is that each person Annie's up 10.00 for each Bass and Catfish division. The tournament will last 4-5 hours in the evening. And the biggest fish takes the money. It will be on the honor system with all participants using the same kind of weight scales.
